Refund and Cancellation Policy
This policy applies to purchases made directly from Formatrix Book Studio. A signed proposal, order form, or service agreement may contain more specific terms; when it does, those terms control for that engagement.
Subscriptions
You may cancel a subscription before its next renewal. Cancellation stops future recurring charges and access continues through the paid billing period. Except where required by law, unused time in a current billing period is not prorated or refunded.
One-time publishing services
If you cancel before work begins, the amount paid is refundable less nonrecoverable payment-processing or third-party costs. After work begins, completed milestones, time already worked, and approved third-party expenses are nonrefundable; any unearned balance will be returned. Custom services and deliverables already supplied or approved are not refundable merely because preferences change.
Digital deliverables
Downloaded or delivered digital files are nonrefundable except when the file is materially defective or does not match the written order. Report a delivery problem within 14 days so we can repair, replace, or, when those remedies are not reasonable, refund the affected item.
Billing errors and duplicate charges
Report a duplicate, incorrect, or unauthorized charge within 14 days of the charge. We will investigate and return any verified erroneous charge to the original payment method. This does not limit rights provided by applicable law or your payment provider.
Third-party products
Print, distribution, ISBN, advertising, retailer, and other third-party purchases are subject to the third party’s terms and are nonrefundable once ordered unless that provider authorizes a refund.
How to request help
Email info@formatrixbookstudio.com with the account email, order or invoice number, charge date, amount, and reason for the request. Do not send card or banking details by email.
Nothing in this policy excludes a refund or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.
